We drove to Venus to follow up on some of the foodie posts about Biundo's. We were not disappointed and for a Saturday night we're able to get seated quickly. There is not a lot of seating, quaint small town Italian food. Simple menu and many pizza options. We started with the Bread Bites and marinara sauce. The sauce makes the dish, we prefer more garlic on the bread. We had a Biundo's Special Supreme thin pizza. It was very tasty with plenty of toppings and cheese. We will be back and try some other dishes. Service was great. At one point the music was on too loud and was turned down so we could have a conversation. Worth the drive and nice alternative to your dining.

We traveled to Venus Texas, not very close to us, just to try out their Pizza. It was a Saturday evening and they were pretty crowded and we had to wait approximately 15 minutes for a table. Once we got seated, we found out that they're no longer BYOB which is a negative, since we brought a bottle of wine with us. Nevertheless, we ordered a pan pizza, onion rings, and two glasses of wine. Everything was very good, except the wine. It was the smallest glass of wine I have ever seen, like a juice glass. We sent them back since it was way overpriced for that. They need to definitely reconsider how they sell their wine. They also have beer which is a much better buy. I would rate the onion rings at 4 out of 5 and the pizza at 5 out of 5. Just a shame they're no longer BYOB, since just about all the Italian restaurants in Arlington, where we live, are. I would return for the pizza however!

We've been coming to historic downtown Venus for quite awhile. We love old buildings and town squares and there's another restaurant here we've frequented. It's actually miles from home and now we have another wonderful destination a few feet away. Obviously this a local favorite. Humming with business, Biundo's is inviting and the walls are full of Sicilian family photos, generations of Biundos. Tiled tables and welcoming staff helped us to get comfy with a giant menu. I mean huge! We settled on pizza as first timers and onion rings for an appetizer. The onion rings came right out and they were perfectly battered and perfectly cooked. Big tasty onions. The pizza took longer, but it was dinnertime and I expected as much. Meanwhile, we saw numerous pan pizzas come out of the kitchen to ooohs and aaaahs. Things of beauty. I also saw enormous meatballs, big as softballs, two to a plate of spaghetti. We chose the thin crust Supreme pizza ($26.95) 14" and asked for it to be crispy. It came with pepperoni, sausage, onion, mushroom, green pepper, and black olive and we requested anchovies additionally for $3. It was amazing on top. Quality ingredients and really just delicious. I couldn't taste too much anchovy; but we love them and use them heavily on pizza at home. The crust was maybe a little too crispy, actually somewhat burnt, especially around the outer half. It was not so significant as to complain about it - it was not torched. The overall flavor and impression the pizza made on us was a positive one. We loved the fact that the atmosphere was so rustic. The brick walls. The original storefront and wood floors. The wood tables, comfy chairs and tile table tops. The staff was talkative and genuine. Helpful and knowledgeable. Parking is on the street. You will enjoy Biundo's. There's a kids menu. Dessert. Sandwiches. And so many varieties of PIZZA! Crustless, cauliflower, doubled, thin, stuffed and pan. Calzones! Italian entrees and salads. Appetizers of all types. We'll be back!

I moved from outside Chicago about 17 years ago and I haven't found a single restaurant in Texas that has good Italian. This place is so close to my house. I'm in trouble because it is fantastic. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan sandwich and it came with hand made fries. Definitely worth try. My husband got the cheese ravioli with meat sauce and it was delicious. I can't wait to try the pizza next. The restaurant is in an older building with lots of character and waitress was really sweet.

Biundo's is located in Venus, TX serving Chicago style pizza and has a BYOB policy along with thin crust pizza and many Italian favorites. I visited this amazing establishment on a weekday and was greeted with a warm welcome as soon as I walked through the door. Inside they have e a nice cozy warm atmosphere with decorations and plenty of tables and chairs to sit at. I was given a menu by the lovely hostess and she took my drink order of a unsweetened tea. As I browsed through the menu I noticed they have a nice variety of pizzas ranging from your pan, stuffed, and thin crust pizzas. They have an abundant selection of appetizers to choose from as well as pastas dishes. I went ahead and ordered the traditional pan pizza with just cheese and was told by the sweet waitress it will have a cook time of 25 plus minutes. The pizza came out in no time and I was handed a plate with utensils along with chilled parmesan and red pepper flakes. The pizza was looking stunning and all I wanted to do was snap pictures before trying to devour this magnificent dish I was staring at! The pizza was ooey gooey cheesy with bubbles of fresh mozzarella cheese just piled high beneath a fresh layer of tomato sauce that was being held by a perfectly crispy crust. After I kept stuffing my face with this cheese goodness I started to become full and the waitress went ahead and brought me a to-go box. Overall this pizza set the expectations I was looking for along with the second to none customer service that was provided. I do see myself coming back again and maybe trying the stuffed or thin crust pizza and maybe having a light appappetizer. Thanks you Biundo's again for that cheesy overload. The prices were fair and decent while the food quality and customer service set the bar!

How far are you willing to travel for a great pizza (and I'm told an amazing assortment of other Italian dishes)? Venus is a short jog south of DFW. Just 7 miles west of IH35 and Alvarado. 12 miles southwest of Mansfield. I drove 51 miles from Weatherford to Venus just so I could eat the Deep Dish Pizza at ** Biundo's Italian Restaurant*** I plan on doing it again. This is genuine Chicago Deep Dish pizza. YUM. The owners father owned 5 pizza places in Chicago. Jennifer (owner) learned from her father. This heritage gifted we Texans with the best pizza I have eaten in a very long time. I had the deep dish pizza with black and green olives, bell peppers, onion, Italian sausage, and meatballs. All covered in cheesy goodness. And to make it even better these ingredients were on the absolute best crust I have ever put in my mouth. It is really hard to describe this crust. Firm enough to hold the plethora of ingredients yet not tough or chewy. The flavor went far beyond a normal pizza crust. Almost like a really good pie crust. Maybe this is the reason they are sometimes called "pies" in Chicago and New York. Then there was dessert The Nutella Cheesecake is to die for. The creamy goodness of cream cheese pair with the silky smooth richness of Nutella. How can you go wrong. Each ingredient strengthens the power of the other. Not too sweet or rich. A beautiful way to end a meal.

On a Saturday, right as they opened By 130pm the place was already full and busy. The place is nestled in the small downtown area of Venus. Parking is all over the downtown strip. I like the ambiance, old store, wood floors and exposed brick The staff was great, friendly and helpful. We started with the fried mushrooms, which came out hot but really good Lots of options for pizza, but we opted for the thin crust meat lovers pizza. It was really good. It came with lots of cheese and plenty of toppings. They offer Coke Products, and just know this is a BYOB establishment. Would I go back? Absolutely, and I look forward to it.

We drove over 30 minutes to get here and it was well worth the drive! We read all the reviews before coming, and we stuck with pizza, which is what everyone else recommended...so I can't speak about the other food there...but the pizza?! To die for!! We had the stuffed pizza and the think crust meatlovers...plus we had the pretzel bites as an appetizer. The bites were so buttery and garlicky...we annihilated them under 3 minutes! Lol The sauce on the pizza is phenomenal, and the crust is crispy and baked to perfection. We will MOST definitely be back!
